What a Girl Wants

If a girl wants to go out in Sao Paulo her handbag needs to be big enough to carry a pack of cigarettes, lighter and a gun. A friend of my sister is Brazilian living in Munich and designing her own handbags – also fit for Q8 (think mobile phone instead of gun). Each bag is completely handmade and a unique piece. Future Hope Laundry

I always wonder what makes all those small shop owners name their minimarkets “Lucky Bride” and ” Sabah Al Kheir Ya Salmiya”, a laundry ” Queen of Dishdashas” or a beauty salon “Birds Nest”? Yesterday I discovered that the small grocery shop next to my building is being transformed into a laundry including a brand new signage – the name … see for yourself ;-)
